Today, I asked God, “Who is Krishna?”
And this is what I heard:
“Krishna is the laughter of a child that pulls you in, making you forget everything else.”
Think about it. You don’t need to solve anything, fix anything, or understand anything in this moment. You just want to be near that giggle, that joy, that pure presence. That is Krishna.
Krishna reminds us of the forgetfulness of our own soul. The forgetfulness that makes us feel separate, the forgetfulness that hides the truth: the laughter you hear and embrace is your own.
That giggle sets you free. This bliss has no reason. It isn’t born out of benefit. You laugh without cause, like you do when you see a baby smile. And in that laughter, you realize: I can be happy without a reason. I am beyond cause. Beyond consequence. Untangled. In that moment, you are one with Krishna. You are one with the giggle.
Krishna did this with Arjuna too. Through the Gita, He lifted him beyond cause and effect. And He does the same with you.
As you smile without cause, you step into the devotion that others might call madness. Like Meera, who danced and laughed in the ecstasy of Krishna, you step into that freedom. You laugh, you move, you exist in joy, and in that, you become yourself, untethered, whole, alive.
That laughter feels familiar because it is the language of your soul. Bliss is your soul speaking, and that child’s giggle is a reminder. Just as Krishna’s flute pulled the gopis into His presence, this laughter pulls you back to yourself.
You take that laughing child in your arms. You swing him, you celebrate him, you join in the joy. Like the gopis who danced for Krishna, you participate in bliss itself. This is the beginning of Raas Leela. That child’s laughter is Krishna, pulling you back into the joy of your own soul.
When you allow yourself to follow that pull, to be present in joy without reason, you are walking toward your own truth. You are already home.
Hare Krishna!
